Transitional Assistance Program

These funds are to assist those individuals who are ready to move into or are applying for permanent housing. An expenditure of these funds must result in the client achieving permanent housing - a minimum of 12 months. It is not an emergency assistance fund.

Program Eligibility & Guidelines
  1. The expenditure must result in the client achieving permanent housing.
  2. Case Manager assesses need and sends referral.
  3. Both the Case Manager and the client must submit a budget that demonstrates long-term viability (12 months).
  4. Clients are eligible for a $600.00 lifetime maximum allowance which can be used in multiple ways:

    • ID
    • Rent Deposit
    • Birth Certificate fees
    • Police Report fees
    • Credit Report fees
    • Application fees
    • Utility Deposit

  5. Appropriate documentation for expenditure will be required (e.g. copy of lease/rental agreement, copy of utility bill, etc.).
