The Housing Assistance Program owns and manages a number of residences ranging from apartments for individuals to family accomodations. Rent varies according to funding source and program requirements regarding medical disability.

SAVE Home: Eight residents share a common living room, kitchen, and dining room but enjoy the privacy of their own bedrooms. SAVE Home is staffed by a full-time coordinator and professional caregivers who provide 24-hour assistance. Rent: 30% of income. SAVE Home
Prairie Home: Prairie Home is a HUD 811 (3) project completed in 1995. Prairie Home accommodates four families in two and three bedroom apartments. The two-story "Prairie School" design is enhanced by landscaping, playground, and security fencing. RENT: 30% of income plus utilities. Prairie Home
Cropsy Place: Cropsey Place is an apartment complex consisting of 24, one bedroom units. It was newly constructed and began operation in 1986. The Cropsey Place "Prairie School" neighborhood compatible architectural design is enhanced by comprehensive landscaping as well as a handicapped accessible garden and outdoor recreation area. Cropsy Terrace: Cropsey Terrace opened in 1999 and located adjacent to Cropsey Place, this 12 unit apartment project continues the "Prairie School" theme. Cropsey Terrace features enhanced landscaping and unique, architectural images. RENT: 30% of income plus utilities. Cropsey Terrace
McCarty Place I: McCarty Place was established in 1991. This completely renovated building provides safe, affordable, independent, urban housing for six persons. RENT: $300.00 plus utilities. McCarty Place I
McCarty II: McCarty II, a duplex designed for two families was completed in 1999, and is connected to McCarty Place by a mutually accessible driveway, parking and landscaped outdoors area. RENT: $425.00 including utilities. McCarty II
Gilligan Home: Gilligan Home was purchased and renovated in 1991 through a partnership with HUD, the State of Missouri Health Department, William T. Kemper Foundation, and Cohen-Esrey Real Estate Services "Have A Heart" project. Kings Court: This turn-of-the-century architectural icon has been recently renovated with the cooperation of HUD's 811 (3) program. The eight unit, 1 + 2 bedroom structure opened in the Spring of 2000. RENT: 30% of income plus utilities. Kings Court
Stepping Stones: Stepping Stones, renovated in 1999, offers transitional services and housing for homeless individuals who are working to end the cycle of homelessness and achieve financial and housing stability. Stepping Stones includes an eight unit renovated Coach House (circa 1910). Rent: $300.00 including utilities. Stepping Stones
