Eligibility Requirements & Program Guidelines
  • Case Manager assesses need and sends referral.
  • Participants will be evaluated on a quarterly basis to verify compliance and progress. If at any time a participant demonstrates a lack of compliance or progress on any of the above, assistance will be discontinued.
  • Obligations as set forth by the lease, rental agreement, or utility company will continue to belong to the participant.
  • If a participant has zero income for two years, the participant will no longer be eligible for assistance.

The Housing Assistance Program will in no way be responsible for any expenses owed by the participant. Participants are responsible for the portion of their expenses not paid by the Housing Assistance Program. Housing Assistance payments are made on behalf of the participant and are considered assistance only and may not be considered income.

Participants receiving Housing Assistance may not live in residences that are subsidized by other programs or entities (For example, Section 8).

Participants must provide the Housing Assistance Program with a copy of their lease or rental agreement prior to assistance beginning.
